You can have a delicious pork fillet cutlet lunch here.
When you want to eat tonkatsu in Shibuya, you're probably looking for something reasonably priced and decent, or walking a little further, or even taking the train one stop in that direction... But who would have thought that there'd be a place like this so close to Shibuya Station...
It's on the fifth floor of a building, and until you open the door you might wonder if it's really a tonkatsu restaurant, but the interior is clean and relaxing.
I'm a pork loin lover, but this place only serves pork fillet cutlet. It's been a while since I had pork fillet cutlet, and the meat is so tender and juicy, with such a light batter, I wondered if pork fillet cutlet was always this delicious.
You can add extra wasabi as a topping, which is a must-try. The sweetness of the pork and the refreshing taste of the wasabi are irresistible, and I could have eaten more than I wanted. I regret not ordering 180g instead of 120g...
If I have business in Shibuya, I'll keep their lunch times in mind. I'll definitely come again. Thank you for the meal.

The pork cutlets here are shockingly tender!
The pork fillet cutlet can be described as "fluffy," and the sweet and savory flavor of the pork spreads with each bite, leaving you in awe.
The batter is also crispy and light, not at all oily. It's clear that the staff puts a lot of effort and care into this dish!!

At night, the building is packed with bars, making it feel quite intimidating.

A pork fillet cutlet specialty shop. Operating out of a rented space in a bar. I ordered the 2000 yen pork fillet cutlet set meal.
It was absolutely delicious. It was the first time I'd ever had a pork fillet cutlet that was so tender and easy to eat. It's not something you can get for 2000 yen. The experience felt like eating something that cost 4,000 or 5,000 yen. They also had pork cutlet curry and sandwiches.

This may be the best "Fillet cutlet" in Tokyo right now. This is a fillet cutlet specialty restaurant that just opened in April.
It's located just a one-minute walk from Shibuya Station, but it's really hard to find. It's a bar space rented out in a dungeon building that looks like Kowloon City in Shibuya. Therefore, it's only open at lunchtime, so be careful if you want to go.
I opened the door timidly and found the interior to be very clean. The owner, who is a deep-fryer, is apparently from the famous restaurant [Katsukichi]. And the most important thing, the fillet cutlet... I was honestly surprised, with a light batter and firm Iwanaka pork meat, and it was so juicy that it was like the juices were exploding. Personally, I can't find anything wrong with it...
The mysterious chili miso, red miso soup, and white rice that were served with it were all perfect... It's amazing that this fillet cutlet set meal is only 2,000 yen... I was a little excited, but I was happy to have come across such impressive fillet cutlet for the first time in a while. Apparently they only serve 20 meals a day, so it might be safer to call ahead and make a reservation.
Even though it's in a multi-tenant building in the middle of Shibuya, they apparently also have terrace seating. Next time, I'd like to try the open-air tonkatsu.

This place is a true hidden gem. You would never guess how nice it would be inside based on how the outside looks. It’s on the 5th floor of a sketchy looking building, but once you open the door, the place is so nice! Very comfortable atmosphere.
The tonkatsu was excellent, light, and crispy. The soup that came with the set had meat in it, which was a step up from the usual miso soup I’m used to getting. You won’t be disappointed.
Next time I’m in town, I’d like to try the tonkatsu curry or the tonkatsu sando!

I made a reservation because it looked delicious after looking at the photos.
I don't know which building it is.
Even when I finally found it, I couldn't find the entrance.
I couldn't find the elevator either.
I can't believe there's no elevator on the fifth floor.
It happened (lol).
There are several ways to enter, so I entered from the opposite direction (lol).
But it's a dingy multi-tenant building.
When I got out of the elevator on the top floor,
there was a sign saying "Hideaway Tonkatsu"
I couldn't find the entrance.
It really is a hideaway!
I cautiously opened what looked like a bar's front door.
(It was probably a real bar or something.)
It was open (lol).
It was before 12 o'clock and there was one customer.
There were only five seats at the counter.
I sat down, leaving one seat open from the customer in the back.
It had a nice atmosphere.
Only pork fillet cutlet on the menu.
Set meal, curry, and sandwich.
Of course I started with the set meal.
120g for 2000 yen.
I guess they'll add one more, but 180g is 2500 yen.
I'll go with the standard 120g for now.
I was asked, "Is a large serving of rice free?"
I initially declined, but after some hesitation, I changed to a large serving.
Well, you never know what the default is at the first restaurant...
These high-end tonkatsu restaurants often serve a small portion of rice.
I had to wait quite a while. Well, it's pork fillet cutlet after all...
Just as I was thinking that, another customer came and one more customer left a seat for me at the counter.
Soon, two customers who seemed to have made a reservation came to our table.
...If another customer comes, we'll be in trouble...
The counter will have to be crowded, but the counter is small...
I thought I'd eat quickly and leave, but the previous customer hadn't even come yet (lol)
Just as I was starting to get impatient, the previous customer came out and five minutes later, I came too.
Cabbage refills are free (happy).
There's salt, mustard miso, and mustard sauce.
Of course we take turns eating it.
Delicious. Nice.
The rice and red miso soup are also delicious.
Of course we get refills of cabbage.
But the cabbage dressing and salt
both failed the second time.
Both came out properly the first time,
but the second time, it was like "It's taking a while to come out..." and then it all came out! (sweat)
There was quite a bit of salt left on the plate...I could have used it the first time...
The salt and dressing are both hard to get out, so be careful.
The taste was quite satisfying.
It took a while, but the owner was doing it alone
and carefully, so it can't be helped.
We left satisfied. Thank you for the meal.
2000 yen for this is great value for money.
Next time, I'll go for the 180g.

There was also a sign on the door saying "open," so when I tried to open it, I found that the door was locked.
A staff member then came out and said that they were closed for the day.
This was a problem that went beyond the food.
They seem to have just opened, but perhaps they should learn how to provide service.
Also, the building is quite dirty, and the atmosphere on the way to the shop is not exactly nice.
I imagine it would be quite creepy at night.

Best pork katsu ive ever eaten!
This place was the complete opposite from finding it. Worth it for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Followed others posts on how to find it.
At lunch they had 1 thing on the menu, needless to say it was amazing.
Id recommended getting the extra pork fillets.
They were very nice to non japanese speaking tourists. Helpful and polite as always 🙌.
10/10 will be going back.

ヒレカツ専門のとんかつ屋さん。かなりレトロなビルの上にある隠れ家、ミュージックBAR。個人的にはカレーが好み。

A tonkatsu restaurant specializing in flesh cutlets. Music Bar is a hideaway located above a rather retro building. Personally, I prefer curry.

Just before 2:30pm, I saw a sign outside saying "open," so I took the elevator up to the shop.
